Over-the-counter products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid help reduce breakouts by unclogging pores and fighting bacteria. While topical treatments are effective for many, I highly recommend considering uvb light therapy as well. It's a proven treatment that helps reduce acne and blemishes by targeting the bacteria causing acne while also helping to reduce inflammation. Many dermatologists offer UVB treatments as part of a comprehensive acne management plan. It can be a great complement to topical treatments for those struggling with persistent acne or looking for faster results. Definitely worth discussing with your dermatologist!
